R there home remedies for a toothache?

I have a lung disease but I need to get my teeth pulled. The dentist will not pull the teeth until my family doctor gives a consult that it is ok. which may take a week or so. Anyone have any advice on what I can do for my teeth until the dentist can pull them. The whole right side of my mouth hurts due to the toothaches. Can someone please help me.

R there home remedies for a toothache?
Try some mouth wash like Listener or something of that nature and hold it in your mouth for as long as you can stand it on the side that is hurting. It will help to numb the nerve for a short period of time. Try taking so Tylenol or something of that nature. You can try some ambsol. Clove oil does work very well but with having breathing problems I don't really suggest because it is strong and may take your breath. Clove oil can also burn the gum if you use to much.Has the dentist or Doctor put you on any anti bodics. This too will help with the pain. Once the infection is gone then they should not hurt as much.

Wish you the best of Luck
Reply:I've heard that if you bite on a clove of garlic it can help. Can you take Tylenol?
Reply:get thee to a health food store for clove oil, or if you have cloves (the spice) at home, crush and place over tooth/teeth. not the gum, the tooth. maybe soak in a drop of olive oil. good luck.
Reply:Get some stuff that is for canker sores, it numbs it. Also, take hot baths. When I had a horrible toothache that I need a root canal for, all that helped was hot baths....at all hours of the night. I have no idea why.
