Problems with infection caused by broken tooth?

alright so here's the deal, about 2 months or so ago I woke up and realized that a molar broke, the filling fell out and the back of it broke into half. I started having severe pain and went to the emergency room one night...they told me there was an infection that had spread b/c of the tooth. I have since went back to the ER and made it to the dentist once. The dentist told me I would need at least 2 root canals.

....but he would need payment before anything could be done...and that's what all of the dentists around here are telling me.

I don't have insurance at the moment. I'm a 21 year old girl and life has taken a crap on me. I lost my whole family and I was pretty much homeless up until now, My life is just starting to take a turn for the better.

you can go to a dental school and get the work done for much cheaper, however they will require payment before work is complete as well. usually, when people don't have the money to get the root canal and keep the teeth, they just get them pulled, that is the way it is. It will get you out of pain, but you lose your teeth. You need to weigh your options and possibilites and make that decision on your own. hopefully things turn for the better for you one day. They always do. Good luck. Getting a tooth pulled is usually about 10 percent of the cost of restoring a tooth.
