Ok i laugh at everything and its driving me crazy?

so i started exploding into uncontrollable laughter when a priest was giving me absolution of sins at confession when nothing funny was going on- it was dead silent in there and the mood was serious. i also received bad news about a terrible crime and i started laughing about that out loud. there have been so many times, especially in churches it seems that i just cannot stop the giggles. people have commented on this and i just dont know why i do this. i try to be serious all the time, and people think im so serious and studious but then i just start laughing and there like wtf... yeah and i just walked into the dentists office and i started bursting out in laughter. sometimes when something slightly funny happens in class, i will be the only one laughing and i have to stifle my laughter the best i can.. and one time i had to give a message on the phone to a friend's family phone and i just started laughing and i couldnt even get out the message because i couldnt contain it.

Ok i laugh at everything and its driving me crazy?
I have somewhat of the same problem. I am very easily amused. too easily. over time I have learned to keep a straight face (military helped with that) but on the inside I am still laughing, even when its not that funny. I think your just a free spirit, its good to laugh, it tells people that you like to have fun and that you aren't all wound up all the time. I sometimes do the fake cough to cover my laugh, you could try that.
Reply:dont worry, my sister started laughing at church and everyone starred crazy at her. I kinda wanted to laugh, but no. I didn't an't to seem nuts. Well just think of something sad. Its better, i guess....^_^
Reply:Same here. Whenever I know I'm supposed to be serious or quiet, I just can't help it and I start laughing. It's the knowing that I'm not supposed to that makes it so hard for me, well, not to! My family and I started a movie called American Gangster, and my brother takes film very seriously because he's like a movie critic when he watches films, and when it started the room was completely silent and I just started laughing and could not stop for the first ten minutes of the film. My brother got extremely upset, and absolutely nothing funny was going on in the film. Same thing happened when we started watching No Country for Old Men. Again, not a comedy, but I just could not stop laughing.

Inappropriate laughter is considered symptomatic of psychological disorders including dementia and hysteria, but can also be the result of cerebellar lesions causing Pathological Laughter, curable by antidepressants, such as SSRIs or tricyclic antidepressants.

But who knows. Everyone is different.
Reply:some people laugh when they get nervous, happy sad or just any emotion. try talking to maybe a doctor or someone about this. they might know better things that will help u then we here would.
