Calling all doctors and med. students...?

I've always had a dream of being a doctor. But now that I'm a junior, I'm scared that I'm not smart enough. I don't care much for chemistry...do doctors study chemistry as hardcore as pharmacists? i like bio and physics as long as i understand them. my dream has always been and still is being a doctor. And no other profession attracts me as much as this one....i don't want to pick another profession and regret it. Also, i don't want to go in pre-med and fail. Also, I don't want to be a foot doctor or etc. I like the job of dentists...but it doesn't interest me as much as the jobs of Chiropractors(deals w/ a lot of chem, rite?) and Pediatricians...but if i do do those, it'll take me 10 - 12 years...and i can't imagine studying that long. I don't mind going to college for 8 years. But never 12...b/c i wanna get married and have children by then, and i wanna give my family the full attention. Basically i want 2 b an honored doctor but don't know if i'm smart enuff or can learn 4 10-12yrs

Follow your dream. Get a tutor for chemistry. Go for it. You are most likely a successful student already, so do not question whether you're smart enough. You have that answer.
Reply:Go to nursing school.Nurses are the ones who provide most of the care to patients. Doctors are pretty hardcore and spend a few minutes with patients while they have to spend hours doing paperwork in order to get paid. Sucks, but it is true. You can have a career and a family. Oh, and the person who spends the most time helping patients is actually the nursing assistant or medical assistant. Good Luck
