Why do doctors have such sloppy handwritings??

and NEVER. I mean NEVER have i seen one with a readable handwriting. from optometrists to family doctors, and dentists. i mean they are highly educated right?? so whats up w/ that?

Why do doctors have such sloppy handwritings??
Have no idea...but you are right
Reply:So noone can forge their signature, I guess.
Reply:so no one can forge a prescription.....i think they are taught to write like 5 year olds
Reply:you are right but i don't know
Reply:Sloppy handwriting is usually attributed to modern doctors having many patients and little time. All writing must be done very quickly. And many medical schools provide no formal training in prescription-writing!!!
Reply:Its some sort of weird ego thing for them.....

I used to work with a pre-Med student at the hospital, he woud sit for HOURS and practice writing his signature "like a doctor". DORK.
Reply:*They like to be unique in their own unique way !!! as only the docs can be !!!!
