How can i find a good family docotor in las vegas?
Do you have insurance? If so, check your insurance company's directory of providers. You will have some trouble in Las Vegas because our medical malpractice insurance has gone through the roof driving doctors from our state. We have a state insurance commissioner in name only, and we have little in the way of tort limits, although that situation has been improving.

Otherwise, ask your friends, coworkers, etc.

Here's another place to try:

I wish I could help you more than that, but I live in Northern Nevada.

You could also call one of the hospitals there for referals, but in either case, be prepared to wait! For new patients, assuming you can find a doctor willing to take new patients, you may have to wait months for an appointment. (The wait for a dentist here in the north is over 8 months! Its almost like being in Canada!).

I suggest that you find a doctor to check you out as soon as you get there. That way you will have a relationship and will be able to get in when you are sick.
Reply:Ask family %26amp; friends for recommendations, they know what their own doctors are like and how good or bad they are
Reply:If you are unable to get insurance, you may qualify for social security or medicaid. You need to contact your local Department of Human Services. I think the best way to find a good doctor is to ask a nurse. I would not hesitate to call every emergency room and ask what doctor the nurse uses.
