The dentist said I had a small cavity that needed to be filled. Mind you I had no pain at all in this tooth. He filled it 8/16/07 and I have nothing but pain since. I called them on monday and they gave me a prescription for darvocet. They wouldnt even see me to see if it is infected. They told me all they could do is pull it or do a root canal. Now this is for a tooth that didnt even hurt and was suppose to be a small cavity. I am taking the medicine but now I have a toothache and a sore throat only on the side the tooth was worked on. My throat is not red. Should I make a family doctor visit? See another dentist? Or demand the dentist that worked on the tooth see me? What could they have done to that tooth to make it like this?

you must get a second opinion. a family doctor, or general doctor cant help you . go to another dentist.
